Peer Martin

Peer Anders Martinwas born in Hanover in 1968. As a young adult he was interested in basketball, corner pubs and black-and-white films but also in writing. However, he didn’t write more than some odd short stories. After his studies in social education in Berlin he worked several years with young adults in Berlin, Brandenburg and Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania , finally on the island Rügen. Those experiences and his Syrian friend’s stories made him writing his first novel. Lately he lives with his wife, three children and Lola in Quebec and totally keeps his mind on his stories (and his children of course). His novel “Sommer unter schwarzen Flügeln” was honoured with the Weltethos foundation’s price in October 2015.
