was born in 1968. She studied media consulting in Berlin, and afterward film directing at the German Film and Television Academy in Berlin. For her first film Liebeskind in 2005 (writer and director), as well as for her second film cheating in 2007, the author already received numerous awards. Jeanette Wagner teaches directing and acting for film, amongst others at the Film Academy Ludwigsburg, at the Berlin School of Acting and the German Film and Television Academy in Berlin.
In 2011 she wrote the first volume, entitled “Der Tod kommt selten allein”, of the youth book-Trilogy “Smalltown Girls” (in cooperation with Ulrike Molsen and Miriam Sachs). It was published in March 2012 by Beltz Verlag.
